This blog is kind of a diary but hopefully along the way on my crazy journey I will have some kind of knowledge or insight to share.

Fredericksburg, Tx
As promised my adventures in Peach land:
Four of my friends, my boyfriend, and myself all decided that we were not going to let this summer go to waste. We all had different ideas about what we wanted to do so yesterday we merged a few of them together. I woke up at an ungodly hour to go meet my friends at school at 7:30. We then, for some unknown reason, decided to pile into the most reckless drives car and drive to The Mongolian Pancake Haus. It was amazing!!! I had never been before but it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
Tips when you go to the MPH:
-order the Waffles with Bacon in them, to die for
-go with friends and be the youngest loudest group there.
- don't get freaked out by the rotating toilet seat covers in the bathroom, I was told they are completely sanitary.
We then drove to Fredericksburg. It usually takes a little over and hour to get there. But Sarah drove. We made it in under an hour. So scary.
Tips for Fredericksburg:
-go to the visitors center, they will help you so much
-pick your own peaches, its way more fun
-skip lunch and binge eat peaches in a local park
-leave peaches that are not as ripe as you would like them to be in a brown paper bag in the hot car while you go shopping, they will be perfectly ripe when you get back.
I love antiquing and was super surprised that my friends did too. The first store that we walked into had two comb and brush sets for my vanity set. Two!!! I walked around for two days at one of Texas's largest antique shows looking for that set and as soon as I walked in to a little shop in Fredericksburg I found them!! (P.S the Round Top antique show is still super amazing, highly recommended)
Tips for Antiquing in Fredericksburg:
-smile and say hi to the lady working the cash register, this will come in handy latter
-try on all the hats
-take pictures of your boyfriend in vintage cowboy gear.
-marvel over the old taxidermy
-drool over vintage dresses
-find cool objects to make terrariums in
-be super nice to the lady at the cash register, strike up a conversation, haggle over the price and Bam! great deal on a antique find.
-ask the nice lady where other antique and thrifts shops are, continue your amazing journey
We found some pretty great stuff, on of my friends bought a glass dome thing to build a succulent garden under, I found my comb and brush set, another friend found a jar of shells for her room and a really cool umbrella. We went shopping in the "foo foo" stores on the main street and my boyfriend bought a hunting knife at a store called Something for the Men. We also got FroYo. Its not outing unless you get FroYo. On our way out of Fredericksburg Sarah drove again. Somehow the minivan full of teenagers ended up racing a Honda Civic driven by a thirty year old man. Thrilling yet terrifying, kids don't try this at home, or ever for that matter.
I had an amazing time. the group that I went with is super drama free and we just got to hang out and have fun and enjoy each others company. I am so blessed to have such group of people in my life.
Leave your Fredericksburg tips and comments, tell me how you feel about this post, interact with this blog in some way. Please!!!!!

My house in a Looney Tunes Cartoon.
I live in the country and there is a population of feral cats that wains and waxes, mostly in congruency with the coyote population. This being said we were not too surprised when we began hearing meowing coming from our ceiling. Long story short we managed to get two adorable tabby kittens down from our attic.
One has already gone to a new home where he is being loved and we get weekly updates on his adjustment to his new life. The other one, that we call King David or just David for short, is slotted to go to a new home as well. The family he is intended for didn't realize they were such small kittens that needed to be feed every three hours so we are holding on to him until he needs less maintenance. He and his brother whom we called Prince Harry are the cutes things in the world. David plays with my little sisters miniature yorkie and will hid under the couch and then spring out and attack him.
He also loves bitting toes and playing with the shoelaces of our shoes that we leave laying around. David also really loves my dog Cody. Cody is pretty much cool with anything, which is why he works with children. He is okay with fingers in his mouth and ears, and things over his eyes and shoes being put on his feet. Cody is the most laid back dog in the history of existence.
David loves Cody for this particular attribute as well as the fact that Cody is super furry and puts off a lot of heat. Have y'all ever seen the Looney Tunes cartoon with Marc Anthony the bulldog and Pussyfoot the kitten. You need to watch it because the real life cartoon is happening in my house right now.
As always like, leave comments, and thank you to the unknown person that always g+'s my posts. You are the real MVP.

Including David kneading Cody's fur and Cody being just a bit over protective when he is left in charge of David. I really want to keep David but I know that he will be happy in his new home where they also have a very large dog. Hopeful he will be able to stay for most of the summer.
Thanks for being a temporary part of our family David, you have brought us much joy and we will miss you and remember you when you are gone.

College Concers
I believe I have already told you but I will be attending Texas Tech in the fall to study engineering. I have a few concerns:
1. As of right now I have no room mate. I have a room, I'm almost all prepared to move in, but I don't know if the person I'm going to be living with is crazy or not. I'm in a specific hall that has the learning community Women of Science and Engineering so there are a few things that could happen. She could be an ultra weird engineering girl, the kid of person I strive not to be. She could be ultra girly and get her hair and nails done twice a week and bring an entire suitcase of makeup, I don't know about y'all but that would be a nightmare for me. She could be a slacker, explaining why she hasn't signed up for housing. She could be super strange and I won't know for a while and I might not have time to do anything about it. Also I could end up without a room mate and have my room and board raised by 25%. Do you see my dilemma here people. So calling all freshmen girls going to Texas Tech in the fall, I need a normal sane room mate!!!!
2. I do well away from home, I do not do well with stress. Outwardly I can handle it but my body starts flipping out. This year I took a very challenging class and my hair actually started thinning!! It was terrible. I'm very worried that I'm going to be too stressed out and my hair is all going to fall out and I will have to quit college for medical reasons!!! Stress does weird things to me people. I got shingles (yes that is the old people virus thing) when I was eight because I became too stress being away from home for a week. This could be very bad. Do they give the shingles vaccine to 17 year olds? Probably not?
3. I won't be able to take my dog. Read some of my older posts if you want to hear more but Cody is the bomb.com. He is the greatest dog in the world. He is a certified therapeutic service dog and my registered personal service dog. I feel like I need him but I also feel like it would be super unfair to take him to college with me and make him live in a dorm. I would take him with me to class if I did take him but the problem presents itself when I want to go out at night or need to travel home. Hard to party when you are leading around a seventy pound dog.
4. My boyfriend is going to be seven hours away. Lubbock is far from everything. He is going to be attending Blinn. He is the best thing that has every happened to me and my friends and his friends agree. When one of his friends found out we we're going to be going to different schools she flipped out and started demanding that one of us change schools. We work so well together and I don't want to loose him. He actually asked me yesterday "so what is going to happen to us when we go to college?". I didn't want to talk about it over text but I told him we have all summer to figure it out. He is coming over in about an hour so I will have to give y'all an update. I don't know how to explain our relationship but I can guarantee that if you saw us together you would ship us so hard. And yes I just used ship, look at me using teenage slang and all.
I know this has been a long post and if I put all of my concerns in it I would be typing for days. If y'all have advice or consider yourself roommate material leave a comment. I know people are reading these, I have a page view counter thingy, so please leave some comments and maybe g+ some posts. Thanks y'all.

Tragedy
Another update I forgot to mention. One of my previous posts is about my 1966 Ford Mustang. My beautiful dream car was in my possession for five months before an incompetent fool driving a street sweeper cause my father and and I to wreak our vehicles. The crash, that was found to be no fault of ours, totaled my car and my fathers truck. It had been more than a year and I am still extremely bitter. My car was my prized possession and I did nothing wrong to have it taken away. Thanks to my father I had three point seat belts in my car. If I hadn't had them I would have sustained a lot more damage than just making my face on the steering wheel and splitting open the skin under my eyebrow. The black eye that came with it would have put any boxer to shame.
As I said it has been more than a year. The company responsible still refuses to compensate us for any of the damages they caused. We have no intention of becoming rich off this misfortune, as my father said, we simply want to be whole again.
Hopefully by the time I graduate college the a settlement will have been made. If that happens then my graduation present will be a new frame for my car as the engine, transmission, and interior are all fine. I feel like I am being punished and that I can't have my car back until I can prove something through my graduation from college. I'm gonna sound like a little kid but ITS NOT FAIR!!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent, even it y'all didn't read this. It makes me feel a bit better.

English Project. What can you get done in one night?
My English 4 teacher is a genius man that gets on my nerves. The first day of school he would ask a question, listen to a students answer and always follow it with "Why?". We all became frustrated with him, the same way you become frustrated with three year olds in the Why Stage. Turns out asking why is really helpful in understanding literature and discovering an authors purpose. My teacher also loves art and interpreting art. If you were to run into someone at the Louvre he would be the man you would want to meet, the quiet genius of a man that would have intellectual conversations on the deeper meaning of existence and the purpose of man conveyed through the art work.
Our final project for his class was a video. It was supposed to be super artistic and avant garde and the only words we were allowed to use were ten quotes from a book we were supposed to read. My partner and I were supposed to read Catch-22. I wanted to share our video because it took a super long time. We did it in one night, in a total of twelve hours, I got three hours off sleep and now I am in some kind of hallucinogenic state. Everything is funnier at 2 in the morning. I think it is pretty great. I hope y'all appreciate it.

I've found my way back to you
I've been gone for awhile and I apologize to any one that was actually reading this. I'm gonna try and do this again. So a few updates (and excuses) for why I have been gone:
1. I am about to graduate from high school. Whoop whoop! My graduation ceremony is on June 11 and it will be THREE HOURS because there are 737 students in my class. Proudly #63.
2. I'm going to attend Texas Tech in the fall and study Mechanical Engineering. I guesses working on the mustang with my father had a greater impact than I expected.
3. I have completed my Independent Study of Mechanical Engineering. It was the most stressful class I have ever taken, my hair literally started thinning! I gave a 45 min presentation to my family, my mentor, and school admin on the research I had done all year and the product I had developed. This class is why I had no social life
4. I have a new beau. I don't remember if I told you about the last one but that relationship sputtered out in my mind and not in his, one of those awkward situations. My current boyfriend is a much better fit for me, my friends love him, and my family thinks his is as awesome as I think he is.
I think this blog is going to be more of a diary for me now, if I can keep up with it. Don't expect a post every day but I will try to keep you updated and share the wonderful and wacky parts of my life and some of the insight I gain along the way.
feel free to comment and like and share and all that good stuff. It makes me feel special:p
